Expert Tips
Bring steak to room temp: Let it sit out 20 minutes before cooking for more even doneness.
Do not overcrowd: Cook in batches if needed so the air fryer can properly sear the meat.
Pat marinade off well: Removing excess liquid helps create better browning and texture.
Preheat longer than usual: A fully hot air fryer gives a more steakhouse style crust.
Slice very thin: Cut against the grain at a slight angle for the most tender bite.
Rest uncovered: Let steak rest on a board so steam does not soften the exterior.
Season arugula lightly: Toss with a pinch of salt and olive oil to wake up its flavor.
Finish with flaky salt: A light sprinkle adds texture and enhances restaurant quality flavor.

@cookinglikekate I might be a little biased since it’s my recipe, but this honestly might be the best steak I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to plenty of steakhouses. I think what really makes it stand out is the red pepper vinaigrette I drizzle on top. I could literally eat that stuff by the spoonful. You also can’t beat how quick it is. It takes about 10 minutes to cook on a busy weekday. YES. I usually throw some rice in the rice cooker and suddenly it feels like a full restaurant-quality meal with minimal effort… which is kind of my goal in 2026. #airfryerrecipes #easyrecipe #airfryertiktok #weeknightdinner #highproteindinner ♬ Congratulations (Piano Version) – Kim Bo
