Ingredients

For the Cranberry Jalapeno Jam:

  • 1 cup cranberries fresh or frozen
  • 1-2 fresh jalapenos seeded and finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp orange juice

For the Cream Base:

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts chopped (optional, for added texture)
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

For the Cranberry Jalapeno Jam:

  • In a saucepan, combine cranberries, jalapenos, sugar, water, orange zest, and orange juice.
1 cup cranberries, 1-2 fresh jalapenos, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup water, 1 tbsp orange zest, 2 tbsp orange juice
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, mash with a potato masher, and let it cool. The jam will continue to thicken as it cools.

For the Cream Base:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Beat the mixture until smooth and well combined.
8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tsp garlic powder, Salt and black pepper to taste

Assembly:

  • Transfer the creamy mixture into a serving bowl, spreading it evenly to create a smooth base. Spoon the prepared cranberry jalapeno jam over the creamy base, allowing it to sit on top.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or as a spread for sandwiches.
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, Fresh parsley
