Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegan dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.

  • Place the finely chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.

  • Pour the hot coconut milk over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute to allow the heat to melt the chocolate.
  • Gently stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add in the maple syrup or agave nectar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.

  • Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using it. You can use it as a frosting, drizzle it over cakes or desserts, or let it cool completely and use it as a truffle filling.
